Interesting insights and connections. Knowing that The Alchemist is such a meaningful book to you, I am reading it again. Your photographs are a beautiful accompaniment. The desert sands are a much richer color than expected. We are fortunate to be able to accompany you. Your journey is a part of my journey. 🙏P.S. I will send you an email soon. I have been a little distracted and lazy. 😎

Hi Beverly, thanks for your note. It’s great that you decided to read it against I’m looking forward to hearing your experience of re-entering it’s pages and seeing them with the current version of yourself. 🩵 Take your time on the emails, I’m sure whenever you write will reach me at the perfect time. As it always seems to do with both of us ;)

I loved your breakdown of the lessons in The Alchemist and how they apply differently to your life now. I read the book in English years ago and to this day I still feel it’s the most transformative and amazing story I’ve read thus far. I’ve been living in Saudi Arabia for about four years now and my life has taken many twists and turns since I first read it…I wonder how it will hit now? I have it in a storage box somewhere (we’re in a temporary apt right now). Feeling motivated to dig it out and re-read it.

Great piece.

Salam alaikum! Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to write a comment :) It's wonderful you've already read the book, and I too would be curious to wonder how you would interpret it now if you were to re-read it. Inshallah, I hope you are able to find it in your boxes! Funny enough, I'm scared of loosing my copy of the book (bc I travel and move around a lot too) so last year I took photos of every single page (bc my copy has a lot of notes ive scribbled throughout the years). and saved it as a PDF. I know it sounds crazy! But it gives me peace of mind knowing I can have it with me at any point haha. I hope that if you read it, that it gives you new perspective since the last time you read it. Enjoy!

Walaikum Salam, wa barakatu! It made me smile when I saw those were the first words in your reply. 😊

I don’t blame you for keeping a digital copy. Things get lost easily with travels and moves. I will let you know when I find it. Maybe I’ll write my own follow up/piggy back piece on your article once re-read my copy.
